Keep quiet and do not complain, your life is perfect

Hush, hush, hush.

You live in a quiet and posh neighbourhood. You have a car. You eat well. You can afford all the things you need.

But you still demand things.

You demand conversations. You demand compliments. You demand time.

You demand hearts and flowers. You demand love. You demand to be heard when you complain about the state of the world.

You demand the most impossible things a working man could not provide. You demand too much.

I gave you this life you have. I gave you luxury, I gave you wealth.

I gave you gadgets no one in your family can afford. I gave you items that would make both our families jealous. I gave you a wedding that would make your siblings think twice about who they’re trying to marry.

But you ask too much. You ask for time.

Time; that I would spend trying to build an empire I want to lead.

Time; that I want to spend earning to become a millionaire.

Time; that I would spend learning new skills because in this fast-paced world, I need to keep up with the technology. I need to learn the way of the people. I need to learn shit so I don’t end up in the dumpster.

Time; that I would spend working to get the promotion I deserve. I work hard but do not get paid enough. I work hard twice as much as I should. I work hard so I could give you a life I know you want.

We both don’t understand each other. We both ask to help but nobody does. We both are not the same person we were five years ago.

We both are growing apart.

We both are no longer interested in what the other has to say.

We both are right.

We both are wrong but too proud to say we are. So we attack each other’s weak points, instead of focusing on the problem.

We both take these personally. Cos this is a personal matter.

Shut up. Keep quiet. Your life is perfect! Why are you complaining??? What’s there to be depressed about???
